The Tekken 8 development team is offering some free rewards to players in an attempt to appease the community following complaints regarding the release of the Gemaji Temple stage. The team has issued a public apology to Tekken 8 fans and plans to deliver an extra Battle Stage DLC for Player Character Year 1 Pass holders and free Tekken Coins to all players.
Launched in late January 2024, the game started off on a bad foot with its fans by announcing the inclusion of a Tekken 8 Battle Pass that upset many players who saw the move as a cash grab after they'd already bought the game for full price. More recently, fans have aired additional complaints about the Year 1 Pass for DLC characters following the announcement that the Gemaji Temple stage DLC would require an additional $5 purchase.
