Pokemon GO has announced a partnership with Walmart that will add more PokeStops and Gyms to all Walmart Supercenters across the United States and put Pokemon GO gift cards into Walmart stores. This partnership looks to expand players' access to locations that can serve as gathering hubs for their local Pokemon GO communities, and it is the first time that physical gift cards have been made available.

PokeStops and Gyms have been present in Pokemon GO since its release in 2016. While the functionalities of these points-of-interest have changed over the years, PokeStops and Gyms still play very important roles in Pokemon GO, and many players interact with them frequently.
