NetEase developer Guangyun Chen rejects the idea that Marvel Rivals is anything like Concord because of its dedication to the players. Concord is the latest failed attempt at a hero shooter, but Marvel Rivals may not repeat the mistakes that resulted in its discontinuation.

Concord is a game that was released in August and discontinued in September due to its small audience. This set a record low for live service titles, as the game had only been live for two weeks before PlayStation shut the door on its few dedicated fans. Since then, Concord fans have spotted the game being sold at various stores despite the inability to play it. Marvel Rivals Game Director Guangyun Chen is confident that the Marvel hero shooter won't follow Concord's mistakes.
