Pokémon GO is going all in on the holiday season as the mobile behemoth announces the perfect gift for fans. As the video game industry has grown so has the demand for gaming-related gifts, especially for live-service games that have become a hobby in and of themselves. Pokémon GO has long sported an in-game store filled with additional items and goodies for enthusiasts to purchase but this new product makes the process much simpler and more accessible than ever before.
Per Niantic, Pokémon GO has partnered with Walmart to introduce physical Pokémon GO Gift Cards that can be purchased from Walmart retail locations around the United States, Walmart.com, and the Walmart app; The Gift Cards will be available as early as October 20. Those who purchase a Gift Card can load a certain amount of money on it that can be used to purchase items in the Pokémon GO store. All Walmart Supercenters will also gain access to more PokéStops and Gyms to provide the community with even more opportunities to catch their favorite pocket monster.
