Stardew Valley update 1.6 introduced Books of Power, unique items that, when read, give you a special boon. For instance, Way of the Wind makes you run faster, Jack Be Nimble, Jack Be Thick gives you +1 Defense, and Animal Catalogue lets you enter Marnie's shop when she's not in. But they're a bit of a nightmare to store.
However, fans have a really simple, obvious solution — bookshelves should be able to hold books. There's already a precedent for decorative items like this serving a more practical function in Stardew Valley, as dressers can hold clothing items, so it makes complete sense to do the same for the new Books of Power.
A lot of commenters say that they simply throw these books away or sell them right now, but that they'd "love" to hold onto them by storing them in their already-placed bookshelves, since it'd take up no extra, unecessary space. But that's not all fans want to see.
