Hogwarts Legacy is a painstakingly accurate recreation of the iconic School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and that means some of the fictional institution's less cozy aspects have also been included in the game. While exploring the grounds, players will likely stumble upon Hogwarts' kitchen run entirely by House Elves who prepare all the dishes eaten by the students and staff. It's a well-documented aspect of the Wizarding World, appearing extensively in the Harry Potter books, but Hogwarts Legacy goes the extra mile to demonstrate how the sausage (or steak) is made.

Posted to Reddit by user vangoghfvckkyourself, the Hogwarts Legacy fan shared a brief video demonstrating how the House Elves prepare steak: They tenderize it by simply jumping on it with their bare feet.

One has to assume that the food is later cleaned before it's ultimately cooked, but the revelation has shocked many fans who were unaware of the steps taken to prepare what appears to be such a delicious meal. Fortunately, Hogwarts Legacy doesn't actually allow students to sit down and eat in the Great Hall, which is an issue that many users have already raised.
