Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Team Has Been Disbanded

Things continue on a downward trend for Ubisoft, amid a flurry of recent solemn news for the company between a delay for its biggest release, Assassin’s Creed: Shadows and the board putting the company under review, now comes confirmation that the team behind Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown their most critically acclaimed and highest user rated game of the year, has been disbanded and shifted to other teams within Ubisoft.

According to response by the game’s senior producer Abdelhal Elguess to Eurogamer, basically confirms the initial report from Youtube channel Origami that the team was dissolved and would not be working on any more post-launch content for the title.

Origami says the sequel had been proposed by the team, but it was not greenlit most likely due to low sales numbers of Lost Crown. The only good news is that said team is still working at Ubisoft, albeit on other projects.
