Overwatch 2 has officially announced a handful of new game mode tests during Season 14 that will finally bring 6v6 to the sequel shooter for a limited time. These two game modes, plus a handful of 5v5 tests in Overwatch 2 Season 13, may set the stage for permanent 6v6 team compositions in the future.
On October 15, Overwatch 2 began Season 13, which introduced the limited-time Junkenstein’s Laboratory game mode, featuring customizable talents curated between each round. However, though Overwatch 2 had previously confirmed plans to test out 6v6 in the future, players hadn’t heard any concrete plans since its initial announcement.
Blizzard hits it out of the park with the latest Overwatch 2 crossover, giving fans the chance to add My Hero Academia skins to their collection.
Now, that has officially changed. In a recent Director’s Take blog, game director Aaron Keller finally revealed plans for upcoming 6v6 tests in Overwatch 2 Season 14.
