Ahead of its release, EA revealed a final trailer for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. This one adds to the cinematic lineup available on the official channel, but promises to be a mix of “gameplay and in-game cinematics”. The Official Launch Trailer is also a bit more concrete about the events in the story, focusing on the aftermath of Solas’s interrupted ritual, what powerful beings and monsters make it out of The Fade, and what it could mean for Rook and their Companions.

The trailer quickly sets the tone for the rest of the trailer, showing monsters coming out of the Fade, and mentioning that a couple of ancient Elven gods have escaped — these two, in particular, being “horrific tyrants”. There are plenty of shots throughout of darkspawn and long-dormant artifacts now attacking armies and your group. We even get a tease of a boss, a dragon that has been “feeding on the Blight” (quite likely an Archdemon).
Companions are shown during the trailer but only make brief appearances. Taash and Lace in particular seem to be in great danger during their appearances, while others like Emmrich are shown reacting to the chaos rising around them.
