Season 14 of Sea of Thieves introduced the much-requested ability to crouch and sneak around, but Rare has had to roll back the update. Season 14 of Sea of Thieves was released on October 17 and has since been struggling with bugs and issues that went "under the radar" during the testing phase. The team has since had to disable several of the newest features, including crouching, which has an inexplicable but hilarious effect of accidental invincibility.
Earlier this week, the Sea of Thieves update was announced with a very tongue-in-cheek reveal trailer, poking fun at themselves for taking over six years to add a seemingly simple mechanic to the popular pirate high-seas adventuring MMO. However, after encountering many issues with the update at launch, Rare has decided to roll the update back.
Speaking on the Sea of Thieves YouTube, Production Director Drew Stevens states: "We're really unhappy about the quality of Season 14's launch and we're going to be taking some pretty drastic steps to get us back in control." As part of this, the game is disabling some of the features it has just added, including crouching, setting traps, and hanging from ledges....
