Halloween is just a few days away but according to Pokémon GO, players should already be moving on, a sentiment that has many frustrated. Every year since the game's launch in 2016, Niantic has celebrated the spooky season by hosting in-game events that shine the spotlight on Ghost and Dark-type Pokémon, going so far as to transform the map with an authentic Autumn spin. 2024 was no different but players are confused about the fact that the occasion came to an end after just a few hours, sparking debates as to whether it was a glitch.

Over on Reddit, user isaythetrue shared an image highlighting Pokémon GO's Halloween event, showcasing the piles of orange leaves on the ground and the orange PokéStops, but a couple of days later, user Entire_Pineapple4732 posted their take on the event, suggesting that they only briefly experienced the map change.

The problem seems to be that some players have managed to download a recent update that adds in the various tweaks but the patch has not been accessible for everyone. Niantic support suggests that players manually update their app, but many still claim they've yet to see the Halloween theme.
