A Kick streamer known as Dumbdumbjeez has responded to the backlash he faced after walking out of a restaurant without paying during a livestream. His actions caused him to get banned from Kick and for the platform's co-founder to express his disapproval, too.
Despite how many creators on Kick are often surrounded by controversy, the platform has proven profitable for its top streamers. Recently, it's been teased that Kick may even start paying its viewers. Considering that streaming can be a good source of income, some creators won't hesitate to share content in poor taste. Such was the case of streamer Dumbdumbjeez, who took a woman out on a date during an IRL stream, only to dine and dash live. The stunt was an attempt to enter popular Kick streamer Sam Pepper's contest for $50,000. According to Sam Pepper's challenge, creators had to go on a date with a stranger while livestreaming. Dumbdumbjeez walked out on his date and the clip went viral, causing his ban from Kick. Many users criticized him on social media, including Kick co-founder Bijan Tehrani.
