Elden Ring is coming to the Switch 2, a well-known leaker has said. The same source believes that this new version of the game for Nintendo's unannounced console may not be developed by FromSoftware.
The Switch successor is expected to have strong support from third-party developers. No fewer than three games have already been confirmed for the Switch 2, and many more are likely to follow once the console is finally officially unveiled.
A Nintendo insider narrows down the potential reveal date for the Switch 2, suggesting that the console will finally be announced soon.
In the meantime, established leaker Nash Weedle has recently taken to Twitter to claim that Elden Ring will also be coming to Nintendo's upcoming device. Its Switch 2 port is said to be a "definitive edition" of the game, meaning it would be bundled with the critically acclaimed Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
The purported port is reportedly handled by Virtuos rather than FromSoftware itself, as per the same source. The Singaporean studio has a long track record of porting games to the Switch, having previously worked on projects such as BioShock: The Collection and Assassin's Creed Liberation Remastered.
