Xbox Series X Version of Phasmophobia Has Feature That's Missing from the PS5 Release

The Xbox Series X will be the only console capable of running Phasmophobia at 120 FPS. Kinetic Games made this announcement ahead of the impending release of Phasmophobia on Microsoft's and Sony's latest machines.

Considered by many to be one of the best supernatural horror games on the market, Phasmophobia is a co-op survival title that tasks players with investigating haunted locations. The Unity-powered experience, which entered early access in late 2020, is set to finally launch on modern consoles and the PlayStation VR2 headset on October 29. As this date nears, more information regarding the performance profiles of the upcoming console versions has been revealed online.

Phasmophobia has become the hallmark of haunted house-style games, and while I love the game to bits, I wish it took a page from The Mortuary Assistant and made the neutral/pre-hunt phases a little scarier. Make ghost sightings more frequent, and make them do creepy things like crawl on walls or scare players away during those times of presumed safety.
