For as vast as the Super Smash Bros. roster has historically been, it's pretty lacking in the Legend of Zelda department. Of course, we have the current Link, plus a few iterations (Toon, Young), along with Ganondorf and Zelda herself (along with Sheik), but it certainly isn't enough compared to say Fire Emblem.
Few things would be cooler than a Smash Bros. game with the likes of Tingle, Toon Zelda (especially with Echoes of Wisdom out), Midna and, of course, Skull Kid. While we know that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate isn't getting any future DLC, and we don't know if there will be a successor on the next Switch, a content creator has taken it upon themselves to imagine what Skull Kid in a Smash Bros. would look like.
The end result is super awesome, and particularly appropriate as Halloween draws near.
Skull Kid is just an unfortunate victim of circumstance.
