Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 developer Treyarch Studios has confirmed that fan-favorite game mode, Infected, will be added to the game as part of a new playlist update on October 29. Infected has been seen in various Call of Duty titles over the years, including recent titles such as Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops Cold War, but Black Ops 6 players will soon be able to get in on the action once the playlist update goes live at 9 AM PT.
Prior to its release, Activision's senior director of studio communications teased that a fan-favorite mode will be coming to Black Ops 6 with Season 1. Many are speculating that the mode in question will be prop-hunt, a popular party mode where one team must hide as props around the map while the hunters seek them out and eliminate them. While there are plenty of other possibilities for what the Season 1 mode could be, it's certainly not going to be Infected, as Treyarch confirms the hit mode will be released much sooner than expected.
