YouTube star Minato Aqua was the most popular female streamer in Q3 2024, based on peak viewer figures. That's according to a recently emerged report that suggests the majority of the most-watched female streamers during this period were active on YouTube rather than Twitch.
This data comes from Streams Charts, a third-party tracker that regularly reports on streaming industry trends. In recent years, the analytics company's insights suggested that VTuber personas have been taking over female streaming.
The title of top female streamer on Twitch shifts from Amouranth to a rising new star, marking a significant change in the streaming rankings.
This trend is seemingly showing no signs of slowing down, according to Streams Charts' latest report, which states that Virtual YouTubers accounted for over half of the top 10 most popular female streamers in Q3 2024, based on peak concurrent viewer figures. The company's newest list is topped by Minato Aqua, a "virtual maid" whose Aqua Ch. channel peaked at 735,000 viewers at one point during the observed period, which is more than the next five streamers combined.
