Rockstar Games has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 5 on PC will finally be receiving some of the expanded and enhanced features from the PS5 and Xbox Series release next year.
For a game that's released multiple times over the past decade and come to pretty much every new console there's been since the PS3 and Xbox 360, you'd be surprised to think that the best way to play GTA 5 isn't on PC. Even as someone who mainly plays console, I'd agree that most games are simply better on PC, but that isn't the case for Rockstar's last GTA game.
Games need to wind down in scope, not blow up to such unbelievable levels as to turn singleplayer games into ever-expanding live-service worlds.
Originally released on PC in 2015 with its own suite of unique features, the Windows version of GTA 5 was later eclipsed by the "Expanded and Enhanced" edition of the game that released in 2022 for PS5 and Xbox Series. For a long time, fans have wondered when the current-gen version of the game would have its features brought over to PC, and they can finally wonder no more.
