It's no secret that the Wii U was nowhere near as popular as Nintendo would have liked it to be, especially coming off the iconic Wii. And so, with the advent of the Switch, Nintendo has made a concerted effort over the years to bring forward games that were once "stranded" on the Wii U to the Switch.
Over the Switch's lifetime, the likes of Mario Kart 8, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze and Pokken Tournament have all made their way to the hybrid handheld/home console. Recently, Nintendo made even bigger waves, when it announced that Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition would be making its way to the console in March 2025.
Still, there are a few stragglers left behind on the Wii U, and with the Switch 2 rapidly approaching, one former Nintendo developer wants to see an iconic series get its due.
