Zenless Zone Zero has revealed the first new W-Engine coming with the Version 1.3 update, introducing the stats and effects for Tsukishiro Yanagi's signature W-Engine. The newest action RPG from HoYoverse offers players plenty of different ways to upgrade their in-game characters, with multiple different resources and materials to pick up. Players can enhance their characters by setting up optimal "Drive Disc" lineups, as well as improving their individual Skills and unlocking powerful buffs through that character's "Core Skills." However, the game's gacha system offers a particularly powerful way of buffing up Agents.
W-Engines serve as Zenless Zone Zero's equivalent to Weapons in Genshin Impact and Light Cones in Honkai: Star Rail. Each character can equip a W-Engine based on their in-game class, with W-Engines typically offering powerful stat boosts and helpful abilities catering to specific playstyles. New five-star characters also typically receive their own "signature" W-Engine, with abilities created to boost the effectiveness of that character's Skills and specialties.
