Days after the global release of Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket, some players pointed out on social media that Farfetch'd is a Basic Pokemon that can pack a punch in solo and PVP battles. This is due to Farfetch'd having a cost-effective attack, decent HP, and the ability to fit into most Pokemon TCG Pocket decks without too many issues.

In the short time that Pokemon TCG Pocket has been available, it became a worldwide hit on iOS and Android devices. Co-developed by The Pokemon Company, Creatures, and DeNA, Pokemon TCG Pocket was first revealed during the 2024 Pokemon Day episode of Pokemon Presents. Within a day of its release, industry analysts stated that Pokemon TCG Pocket garnered just under $2 million in revenue, and had over 10 million downloads on compatible devices. While the game is still in its early days, Pokemon TCG Pocket has already attracted an audience of players looking to collect and duel on the go with their favorite decks.
