You'll spend a good chunk of time at The Lighthouse in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. This hub area once belonging to Solas is situated within the Fade, and each companion you recruit will set up shop in one of its many wings.

You can pop by and have a chat with them at any time, but there's a really handy way to know if they have any important new dialogue or potentially even new quests.

Dragon Age fans are finding The Veilguard's companions too nice, missing the days when they were at each other's throats.

As pointed out by Twitter user @illiciture, the lanterns by each room's door will light up in blue when a companion's ready to chat. It's a neat little trick that saves you having to check in on everybody every single time you return to The Lighthouse.

You can also check the map, which will tell you if certain conversations can expire.

As several commenters point out, however, Harding has some dialogue that isn't marked on the map or by the lanterns. At the very least, it's worth checking in on her every now and then, even if there's nothing in-game telling you to.
