Stardew Valley may be a game about settling into a new pastoral life just outside Pelican Town but it seems that most players don't care to help out the hamlet's many citizens. Fairly early into any playthrough of ConcernedApe's RPG, Farmers will be introduced to Quests which can be found on the notice board outside Pierre's shop. These small missions take the form of "Help Wanted" requests posted by the locals and while the objectives can be fairly straightforward, it turns out that most players just don't care for them.
Posting to Reddit, user m33se_g33se shared an image revealing that only 9.7% of players have completed the "A Big Help" achievement on Steam, meaning that just over 90% of all PC users haven't completed 40 Help Wanted requests.
Considering how early the system is introduced and the relative ease with which most of the challenges can be completed, having that total be so small is genuinely shocking. Of course, the community did have some valid points as to why people just don't care to finish the missions.
