CD Projekt Red might be working on a Witcher movie, according to a recent job listing from the developer. Based on the fantasy novel series by Andrzej Sapkowski, CDPR’s Witcher games are some of the most well-received Western RPGs in recent memory, with 2015’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in particular being listed as one of the best-selling video games of all time. CDPR is set to continue the Witcher game series with a handful of still-in-development projects.
In more recent years, The Witcher has extended beyond books and video games, with Netflix producing a live-action series that will reportedly release its fourth season in 2025. Just like the games that helped pave the way for it, the live-action Witcher show has spawned several spin-offs in the form of the animated prequel movie Nightmare of the Wolf, a four-episode live-action miniseries titled The Witcher: Blood Origin, and an upcoming second animated film called The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, which will be released on Netflix on February 11, 2025.
