Square Enix released Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth version 1.050 just three days ahead of the release of the PlayStation 5 Pro console. In addition to the long-awaited PS5 Pro Enhanced features, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth version 1.050 fixes some issues with the game, though Square Enix remained vague on what they were.
As the second chapter of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake saga, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth encompassed most of the original PlayStation title's first disc. Despite the acclaim that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth received from critics and fans for its story, gameplay, and music, the game did not meet Square Enix's sales expectations. As a result, Square Enix started to pivot toward a multi-platform launch strategy for the Final Fantasy franchise and other major properties. While Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is still a PS5-exclusive game at the time of writing, it remains to be seen if Square Enix's multi-platform approach will extend to the third chapter of the FF7 Remake trilogy.
Though players can skip these optional bosses in Final Fantasy games, some might enjoy the incredible challenge they present.
