Nintendo has reiterated its plans for the Switch 2 announcement window, stating that the console will be revealed during its ongoing fiscal year. But the company is still keeping other details about the Switch successor close to the vest.
According to mid-February reports, the Switch 2 was initially planned to hit the market in 2024 but ended up being pushed back to 2025. On November 5, the Japanese gaming giant published its latest consolidated financial report for the six-month period ending September 30. During a subsequent earnings call, Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa said that the company still plans to announce its next console during the current fiscal year, which runs until the end of March 2025. In doing so, the official reiterated his statement from May 2024, when he originally revealed the Switch 2 announcement window.
