This Stardew Valley comic is for the dogs, as after the announcement of multiplayer, user PepiHopi had this idea for a comic depicting a farmer’s “best friend” taking care of their farm while they have a few drinks.
The best friend in question was not a human as one might expect, but man’s best friend – their faithful dog. The comic was well received by their fellow players and farmers and illustrated how important fan contributions are to keeping the Stardew Valley Community alive.
User PepiHopi’s comic depicts a bartender talking to a patron, informing them that while they’re happy to serve them drinks all day, they will eventually need to return to the farm. The farmer then says not to worry, their best friend is taking care of the farm. This quickly relieves the bartender, who says ninety-five percent of their economy relies on that farm alone. The final panel reveals the “best friend” – a very anxious-looking puppy who now carries the weight of the farm - and the majority of the economy - on its shoulders.
