Nintendo has launched a new limited-time crossover event in Super Mario Run that is celebrating the November 7 launch of Mario and Luigi: Brothership. Super Mario Run is a mobile endless runner game by Nintendo, first launched in 2016. Despite being overlooked as a mainline Super Mario game, it receives a number of updates, with some that are tied to newly released Nintendo Switch games.
Super Mario Run is no stranger to crossovers, as the endless runner has gotten various events that were promoting other games. Earlier this year, Super Mario Run got events that were based on various Mario spin-offs, including Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Princess Peach: Showtime, and even a Luigi's Mansion 2 HD-themed crossover. The themed events gave players the chance to get various items and statues based on the characters from these titles, along with boosting the amount of medals players earned. With the release of Mario and Luigi: Brothership on the Nintendo Switch, players can participate in an event centered around the game that gives new content and themed rewards.
