Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has recently discussed Nintendo’s upcoming Switch 2 and praised its backward compatibility. The popular Switch's successor is in the spotlight this week, and it seems that some Nintendo third-party partners, such as Take-Two, have positive thoughts about one of its feature.

It’s been a while since the first rumors about the Switch 2 started, and Nintendo gave fans a glimpse of the future earlier this week during a financial report for its investors. According to Nintendo’s president Shuntaro Furukawa, the Nintendo Switch 2 will be officially announced before the end of the fiscal year. Considering that the Japanese fiscal year ends in March 2025, Nintendo has around five months to make the announcement. In the same report, Nintendo confirmed that the Switch 2’s rumored backward compatibility was real.
