Baldur's Gate 3 players who downloaded the Evelyn's Sweetheat shotgun mod on PlayStation 5 are reporting the game crashing and are unable to reinstall the game due to the mod. Players have taken to social media to warn others not to download the shotgun mod on a console, but it's too late for many. Baldur's Gate 3 developer Larian Studios has been made aware of the issue, telling players the mod did not pass their curation testing and shouldn't have gone live.
Redditor BladeC96 took to the Baldur's Gate 3 subreddit, sounding the alarm for PS5 players to stay away from the shotgun mod. At the time of this writing, the shotgun mod has had 14,134 downloads since it went live on October 19th via mod.io and was just recently ported to consoles. With the announcement that Baldur's Gate 3 is set to be optimized for the PS5 Pro, Larian Studios was quick to get on the issue.
