Gears of War fans excited to return to the battle with the upcoming prequel E-Day can look forward to shooting hordes of enemies with some familiar voices. When developer The Coalition announced that the next major entry in the popular third-person shooter series would take players back to the start of the war against the Locust, many questioned whether the game would be a return to form. Gears 5 may have had its fans but its implementation of open-world segments left many pining for the days of linear corridor shooting.
Whether or not that's the case remains to be seen but one returning element, as confirmed by The Coalition on X (formerly Twitter), is that actors John DiMaggio and Carlos Ferro are reprising their roles as Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago, respectively.
Since E-Day's announcement, speculation has run rampant regarding voice actors as many suspected the characters would be recast to make them sound younger. Fortunately, that's not the case as the Gears of War community celebrates DiMaggio and Ferro once again stepping back into their roles.
