World of Warcraft Releases New Hotfix Update for November 2024

In response to bugs and player feedback about the 20th Anniversary Celebration event, World of Warcraft released a list of hotfixes for The War Within and Cataclysm Classic. While some of the fixes were immediate, others will not take effect in World of Warcraft until scheduled server restarts are conducted by Blizzard.

In between each major content patch, Blizzard periodically utilizes hotfixes to address problems that can negatively impact performance in any World of Warcraft game mode. Although most hotfixes are made to fix bugs and glitches players report with events such as Hallows End and the ongoing 20th Anniversary Celebration, World of Warcraft has also used them to balance its 13 classes and adjust what they can do in PVE and PVP content. For example, through a series of hotfixes conducted in late October, the Dark Ranger's Black Arrow and Withering Fire abilities were adjusted to make them easier to use around crowd-controlled targets in dungeons and raids.
