CyberConnect2 has released a new update for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Sweep the Board, bringing the game to version 1.20. This new update for Sweep the Board adds a new game board and a set of mini-games based on the Hashira Training arc, one of the major arcs of the Demon Slayer franchise. The update is available now for gamers to download.

Sweep the Board is a Mario Party-esque board game that was released earlier this April for Nintendo Switch, launching on other major console platforms the following July. Developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Sega, this game is a completely different experience from the Hinokami Chronicles arena fighter. Players prepare themselves with events and mini-games during the day, and fight demons during the night. Many iconic characters from the anime, like Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and the Hashira, are playable in this game as well. The initial release had boards based on iconic locations from the show, like Mt. Fujikasane and Asakusa. The new update adds more content based on the Hashira Training arc.

Video games based on anime franchises have followed a pretty common formula, but Demon Slayer could finally subvert expectations....
