Microsoft has owned the Spyro IP since acquiring Activision Blizzard in October 2023. And while some fans hoped Spyro Reignited Trilogy would immediately join the company's subscription service as a result of the acquisition, Microsoft said it needed time to prep the Activision Blizzard catalog for Xbox Game Pass.

Since this collection of remakes is not a day-one release, it's expected to be available across all non-Core tiers of the service. Microsoft has yet to clarify whether Spyro Reignited Trilogy will launch with Xbox Cloud Gaming support, though the company's track record with XGP releases suggests that's likely to be the case.
