Twitch streamer Kai Cenat recently disclosed the substantial financial offer he received from Kick to join their platform. Backed by the online gambling company Stake, Kick was introduced in late 2022 with the goal of directly challenging Twitch's dominance by providing streamers with significantly higher payouts and more lenient content policies.
One of Kick's key strategies to expand its viewership has been to recruit top content creators from other platforms. This approach has seen some success, with high-profile streamers like Adin Ross, xQc, Amouranth, and Nickmercs, signing deals with Kick. Kai Cenat, another prominent figure in the streaming community, has also been a target of Kick’s interest, sparking speculation about his potential move. In April 2023, when Kai received a temporary ban from Twitch, Adin Ross reached out to encourage him to switch to Kick, and the platform further showed its interest by sending Kai Cenat a customized pair of green Nike x Off-White Air Force 1s.
