In the two weeks post-launch, the focus within Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket seems to have shifted from collecting to battling. The game imposes pretty strict limits on how often you can open packs and complete wonder picks but nothing on how many battles you can do. So, when coupled with the Lapras ex Event, players are flocking to the game's competitive mode.

With the game so new, players are still figuring out the intricacies and quirks of TCG Pocket's battle mechanics, the latest of which is that the game has a maximum amount of damage you can deal in one turn.

Shared on Reddit, a player named Lonk_From_Hirool showed how they achieved the maximum possible damage in a single turn—990.

The player's Alakazam was facing the daunting prospect of a Moltres with 37 fire energies attached to it. The opposition Moltres ex had been sitting on the bench, accruing energies from another Moltres ex that was using the energy-stacking move Inferno Dance.

While in most cases, having 37 energy on a Pokemon in the TCG would be pretty useless, in this case, it played into Lonk's hands. Alakazam's...
