Capcom and TiMi Studio are partnering on a new Monster Hunter game that will take the ever-popular franchise and make it more portable than ever before. While the series is no stranger to mobile games, Monster Hunter Outlanders aims to give players a "massive" open-world experience with all the mechanics fans have come to know and love. The gameplay loop will sound instantly familiar as Hunters embark upon quests in the wild to bring down towering beasts, harvest their resources, and create better equipment to challenge even more powerful foes.
Described as a "survival game" set within the Monster Hunter universe, players will be able to explore a range of unique regions that consist of different environments, biomes, ecosystems, and, of course, monsters.
When they're not hunting, users can set up a small camp to provide a reprieve from the harsh wilderness, taking a break to socialize with friends and craft equipment and consumables. Outlanders will support up to four-player co-op, requiring coordination and teamwork to topple some of the world's more iconic beasts.
