The developer behind the Metal Gear game series Konami has released a new mobile baseball game titled MLB Pro Spirit. In the promotional footage, the title features Konami’s baseball game ambassador Shohei Ohtanil, who is a professional Japanese pitcher and designated hitter for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball. The player partnered with Konami at the start of the year and will feature in various campaigns and events throughout celebrations for the Power Pros and Professional Baseball Spirits anniversaries.
Konami is the team behind several iconic video game IPs, including Silent Hill, Castlevania, and Yu-Gi-Oh!, but the developer has also made an impact on the sports side of video games, such as the Pro Evolution Soccer series. Metal Gear fans have an exciting project up ahead, and Konami explained why Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was being remade since a new generation of gamers may be unfamiliar with the classic 80s stealth franchise.
Bloober Team has proven that it's more than capable of remaking a beloved IP, and Konami has plenty of other popular franchises it could tackle next.
The eBaseball title MLB Pro Spirit is available to play now on iOS and Android...
