Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance, a widely acclaimed 2024 RPG, finally has a demo available for those who want to sample the game for free. Although SMT 5 was originally released on the Switch in 2021, the Vengeance redux brought the game to more platforms with added and overhauled content. As a lengthy story-based game, however, it could still be a big commitment for newcomers.
As announced by developer ATLUS and showcased in a trailer available on the Official ATLUS West YouTube channel, the Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance demo follows in the wake of a free DLC update for the game that released on November 4. Progress from the demo will carry over to the full game if players decide to buy the base game and continue the story they started in the demo.
The demo allows players to choose between Vengeance's brand-new story titled "Canon of Vengeance" and the original SMT 5 story "Canon of Creation." It can be accessed on both Steam and the PlayStation store.
Originally planned to launch on June 21, 2024, SMT 5: Vengeance was ultimately bumped up to June 14, 2024. At the time, a free demo was not available, but...
