The creative director of Marvel Rivals recently addressed the community's demands for a role queue system, which some fans believe could fix one of the game's most notable issues in multiplayer matches. Currently, Marvel Rivals lets players choose any hero they want and, in some cases, entire teams can consist of a single selected hero.
After its very successful beta, Marvel Rivals went on to launch as one of the year's most popular games on December 5. In fact, more than 10 million players played Marvel Rivals just three days after the launch, with many praising the selection of playable heroes from the vast Marvel universe. However, some fans began to criticize the game in the weeks following launch due to the lack of a role queue system, which encourages players to select a specific role needing to be filled in order to balance the team out. The role queue system is present in Marvel Rivals' main competitor, Overwatch 2, to prevent unbalanced teams from gaining an unfair advantage or suffering from a disadvantage in matches.
