Pokemon TCG Pocket Won't Give a Straight Answer on Pack Pick Debate

The developers behind Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket won't confirm or deny whether the booster a player selects on the pack carousel matters. Since the game's release, fans have continued to post conspiracy theories about the packs seen in Pokemon TCG Pocket, but the truth remains a mystery.

Hitting Android and iOS devices in late October, Pokemon TCG Pocket has become a mega-hit, pulling in over $200 million as of December 3. In the free-to-play title, players seek to complete their Pokedex by opening daily trading card packs while also engaging in battles against both the computer and other fans. To obtain cards, players are taken to a carousel, where they can swipe through seemingly identical packs before selecting the one they'd like to open. Tiny alterations in these packs have led some to believe that there's a secret tell, with many examining each booster in excruciating detail to determine which one may hold the most valuable cards.
