It has been a phenomenal year for Ironwood Studios, as its release Pacific Drive racked up accolades, including a nomination at The Game Awards for Best Debut Indie Game.
Pacific Drive launched in February of this year for PlayStation 5 and PC, and the game crossed the 600,000 sales mark in July. That sales milestone was good, but Ironwood Studios has another big score to celebrate after today's announcement.
According to Variety magazine, Atomic Monster Productions has acquired the rights to adapt Pacific Drive into a television series. If the company name does not ring a bell, its boss certainly will.
The production company was founded by James Wan, the modern horror mastermind who made a killing debut with the Saw franchise in 2004, but also hit it out of the park with The Conjuring.
Given Wan's affinity for bone-chilling horror, it makes him an interesting pick to work on an eventual Pacific Drive television show, as the game has a cool mix of spooky survival and chill vibes in your car.
