Following the major Omens of Tyranny update for Helldivers 2, the game has come under fire from its community for its implementation of collaboration items from Killzone, an FPS series developed by Guerilla Games. Players have protested the first wave of Killzone items for their unusually high prices, equivalent to about $20 USD for players who would want to buy every item. In response, Helldivers 2's developer, Arrowhead Game Studios, has made some big changes to how the Killzone collaboration will function.
As announced by @helldivers2 on X, the second wave of Killzone crossover items will be sent to all players for free, including an armor set, two primary weapons, a player banner, and a cape. While the first wave of items will remain in the Superstore at the same price, their availability has been extended from five days to ten, allowing players extra time to get Super Credits for them, and Helldivers 2's developers are looking into methods to " bring these items back permanently in the future."
