God is a Geek

There isn't much more satisfying than the huge brawls and voxel gore of Paint the Town Red, but not all of its game modes are that enjoyable.

Unbound: Worlds Apart is an excellent platform game with plenty of interesting portal puzzles, but it has a lot frame drops on Switch.

Samurai Warriors 5 doesn't bring much new to the table, but manages to combine the best parts of other Musou games for a truly fun experience.

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is the best game in this beloved series, and you owe it to yourself to play it.

NEO: The World Ends With You is brimming with excitement. The combat is so good, and the various mechanics all work well together. The soundtrack is superb as well, with visuals that never grow old.

Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is a compelling, surprisingly charming little adventure. It may look dark and oppressive, but Lily is a likeable heroine.

Lumberhill is close to being a great co-op experience, but control issues and some frustrating design decisions make it tough to recommend.

Cris Tales is an incredible take on the JRPG with impressive time powers, but the loading times and framerate on Switch are disappointing.

Last Stop does a decent job of hooking you into its story, but the ending lets it down. The journey of characters is more enjoyable than where it ends up.

Between lackluster combat, outdated graphics and the horrendous stripping mechanic, it's very hard to think of a reason to recommend Akiba's Trip: Hellbound and Debriefed.

Death's Door is a beautiful game, both in the way it looks and the way it plays. Acid Nerve has hit the sweet spot when it comes to combat and exploration.

Streets of Rage 4: Mr. X Nightmare offers three new fighters that all offer something different, and a great new mode in Survival.

On the whole, Roguebook is an interesting deckbuilder that does a lot of things well. It doesn’t do a great deal that feels new and exciting, but there are flashes of brilliance here and there.

Ultimately, Sniper Elite VR has the goods where it counts. If you can find the right level of comfort or, perhaps, the right position, the sniping is very good.

Fans of the genre will still enjoy the broad narrative, exciting combat and deep RPG mechanics. Those returning just for the DLC might be disappointed, but newcomers will have a good time with Greedfall Gold Edition.

It's not for everyone, but by goodness it is great that things like Labyrinth City: Pierre the Maze Detective are being made.

Risk System is for the hardcore, yet it's also original and well presented. That said, it just won't click for some due to the high level of difficulty.

Skyward Sword HD has made a fool of me, and really, I am just so happy I gave it another chance. This is the best version of a truly landmark game.

F1 2021 is the complete package. Braking Point is an excellent single-player experience, driving is perfection, and there's so much to do. It really does have everything, regardless of whether you are a fan of the sport or not.

Where the Heart Leads is a wonderfully crafted narrative adventure, where every choice is felt throughout the story of Whit and his family.
