5 / 10.0 - Rad Rodgers
Mar 18, 2018

Rad Rodgers is too self aware, and falls short on many levels.

While it is in dire need of some balancing, there's magic in Vermintide 2's frenetic combat. It's a real co-op treat that simply has to be played.

Farewell is upsetting in the best of ways. A wonderful, tearful, round off of Max and Chloe's story and a fantastic appetiser for season 2.

7.5 / 10.0 - Titan Quest

A more-than-competent loot-based action RPG with some interesting ideas

3 / 10.0 - Bravo Team
Mar 16, 2018

It's such a shame that Bravo Team is bad because Supermassive has made some great games, but this is by far the worst.

Yakuza 6 is a fitting end to a great saga, with fantastic combat and lots to do outside the main story

Ten years on, this is still one of the best arcade racers out there. Hours will be lost just flying around the map being a nuisance, and a few old fashioned decisions won't dampen the excitement from playing a game this fast and furious.

4.5 / 10.0 - Kirby Star Allies
Mar 14, 2018

While it looks lovely and isn't a bad game by any means, Star Allies is aimed at a very specific age group, and most others will find it far too easy and, sadly, rather dull.

8 / 10.0 - Q.U.B.E. 2
Mar 13, 2018

Improves on its predecessor in every way to deliver a satisfying puzzle game that, while challenging, never feels insurmountable; something that is down to the excellent communication and pacing of its mechanics

While TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge accurately captures the sense of speed as you barrel down the country lanes of the iconic circuit, its twitchy handling undoes the experience entirely.

7.5 / 10.0 - H1Z1: Battle Royale
Mar 13, 2018

H1Z1 may well have been inspired by the original version of PUBG, and it shows, but in Auto Royale it provides one of the most fun battle royale modes out there.

The opening episode isn't exactly the most gripping of affairs, as this slow burning, political drama takes a while to get going and isn't helped by poor presentation and dull puzzles. But there is potential here for an interesting story to be told in future episodes.

Metal Gear Survive is alright. It strikes such an almost perfect balance between mind-numbing tedium and rage-tinted fun that if you're willing to let it take you, there's a very compelling experience under all the brown and grey textures - just don't expect it to do justice to the franchise under which it shuffles.

Caught right between a needed update and trying to strictly adhere to the original template, Secret of Mana doesn't commit itself enough in either direction to justify owning it above any of the other versions.

8 / 10.0 - Moss
Mar 5, 2018

Clever, different, but sadly all too brief. Moss might not be the singular game to justify the purchase of a PlayStation VR, but it is one of a growing number of PSVR releases that build up a decent list of reasons to pick one up.
