7 / 10.0 - The Crew
Dec 24, 2014

The Crew is a reasonable racing game with tons of gameplay modes and an absolutely massive world, however its bland story dents the experience.

Geometry Wars 3 is basically digitized crack. It's challenging, it's visually amazing, and it's soundtrack should be available to purchase separately. Take my Money!

6 / 10.0 - NBA Live 15
Dec 3, 2014

NBA Live 15 does a lot of things well but simultaneously it does a lot of things wrong. Gameplay can be enjoyable but it's really down to the player as the game doesn't do well to explain itself.

While the game is by no means perfect and there are a few issues present that should have been sorted by now, Lego Batman 3 looks great, plays superb, and provides enough humour and action to keep players engaged.

5 / 10.0 - WWE 2K15
Nov 26, 2014

Being nothing more than a game built around fan-service WWE 2K15 is going win any awards in terms of visuals or gameplay mechanics, But this isn't to say the game doesn't have some enjoyable moments, it's just sadly let down by a slow and underdeveloped control scheme that's proves to be more hassle than it's actually worth.

9 / 10.0 - Forza Horizon 2
Nov 26, 2014

Forza Horizon 2 is a spectacular achievement for Playground Games, and a game that makes you feel like part of a community, even when you're not playing with anyone; a game that captures the joy of driving, and more importantly, sharing that joy with others. It feels like the kind of game Microsoft has been trying to make for years, one that finds success in its mechanics, but is defined by its community, one less a collection of random players, and more a club of enthusiasts.

The Legend of Korra by all means should have been a much more enjoyable games given the studio behind the title. But the large amount of repetition and lack of level design conflicts with player enjoyability.

8.5 / 10.0 - Sunset Overdrive
Nov 15, 2014

Sunset Overdrive is one of the rare games that feels complete in an age where most games feel like a combination of elements from all over the place. Everything in Sunset Overdrive works, from the gameplay, to the art design, the humor, and the combat, and each feeds off the other to create a title that not only feels great, but cohesive as well. Fans of open world games that emphasize freedom of movement, customization, and style won't find much better on the current consoles.
