VGChartz's Reviews
Need For Speed Rivals is decently fun, but marred by underwhelming presentation, an insanely stupid story, unfair AI, and repetition.
It's a great game that only really suffers from not featuring enough levels.
While series enthusiasts might find Batman and his utility belt a bit lacking due to the absence of certain gadgets and the lack of a proper leveling system, the item based progression and good amount of upgrades for Batman's gadgets, suit, and gauntlets do just about enough to make up for it during the 10-11 hour main story.
Super Motherload does exactly what it sets out to do: create a fun little digging game that belies its dark storyline.
It is an unfortunate reminder of the struggles of 21st century Sonic titles and may have started a new cycle of series mediocrity.
Pokémon X and Y is an enjoyable but uneven experience.
Rayman Legends is a remarkable step up from its already excellent predecessor.
Rayman Legends is a master platformer, with variety and style that could even make Nintendo's iconic plumber stand up and take notice.
Outlast is a shining example of the horror genre.
I hope you're ready to once again explore Seattle's futuristic slums, for Shadowrun Returns is definitely a return to form after the basterdized "revival" of 2007.
Platformers have enjoyed a resurgence in recent years thanks to a multitude of great games, yet Cloudberry Kingdom aims to outlast them all.
Dota 2 has its claws dug well and truly deep within me... I have a hard time imagining anything due for release in the next few years will eclipse Dota 2 in my mind's eye.
I don't think Project X Zone is a bad game overall, but it's certainly not the great game I was hoping for; the repetitiveness of the battles and the nonsensical storyline saw to that.
There are a few moments of enjoyable fun to be had within the walls of Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move, but they're a bit too fleeting.
Where it starts off on a high, the short story, lack of depth, and occasional bug all come together to make for a slightly numbing experience; it feels like there's no journey, no resolution, and a lot of unfulfilled potential.
It's not going to convince anyone with reservations about the series, but it is exactly the kind of experience that fighting gamers will enjoy on their Vita.
Pick Lego City Undercover up... if you're the type to enjoy the Lego things in life that is.
Don't play this if you're not a puzzle-game enthusiast, but if you are you won't find many more engaging, rewarding titles.
Overall this is a fun package and it is worth your time and money, but it has its frustrations and there's no denying where its inspiration quite clearly came from.
Its charming wit, solid story, and excellent dialogue will make your ride a fun one.
