7.7 / 10.0 - Far Cry Primal
Mar 31, 2016

Ubisoft has taken us back in Far Cry: Primal to a time period that is new and fresh to the FPS genre. Sadly, it has a story that is forgettable and uses the same formula we have come to expect from every Far Cry game. However, some fans will enjoy some of the changes to the fun gameplay we know and love.

9.7 / 10.0 - Firewatch
Mar 23, 2016

Firewatch is a breath of fresh air in the adventure game genre. While the game is primarily dialogue based like other adventure games, gameplay is more FPS-like as you will climb cliffs, rock faces, rappel, and cross over make shift bridges as you work to solve the mystery of the Shoshone National Forest. While some navigation issues make getting around the environment difficult, the real salt in the wound is the abrupt, and illogical revelation that makes no sense in the context of the events leading up to the finale.

Tales of Zestiria may not be the greatest entry in the Tales series, but it is certainly worth the time of any well-established Tales fan.

Tom Clancy's The Division is a great third-person cover shooter with addictive combat and progression systems, a unique multiplayer component, and a surprisingly well realized story to enjoy alone or with friends.

8.8 / 10.0 - Tron Run/r
Mar 7, 2016

Tron/r is one of the most high quality games of its genre. Its three different game modes and challenging difficulty always keep things interesting, plus there is already more content on the way. Fans of runner games should not pass this one up

Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 improves upon the original in nearly every way imaginable. With expanded modes and character classes and the inclusion of a solo campaign rife with humor and collectibles, PVZ: GW2 firmly plants its roots amongst the titans of the Third-Person Shooter pantheon. For fans of POPCap and shooters in general, there is no other game that offers as much fun, whimsy, humor, and satisfaction as PVZ: GW2. Despite some balancing issues between the plants and zombies teams in multiplayer and the inclusion of micro-transactions ,this is a game for the ages that can be enjoyed by all players.

Xenoblade Chronicles X is a great open-world RPG with plenty of to see and do. Unfortunately, this game requires dozens of hours of commitment and a slew of side questing to complete the narrative.

Amazing Discoveries in Outer Space is not your average space simulator. It has everything one would expect from the genre, but is also inspired by one of the most notable video games ever made. The dialogue from your ship's onboard computer combine with a good soundtrack give this game a unique charm.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain requires some investment. This is not a game that is easy to pick up and play for just a few minutes. Players will find themselves sinking many hours into this game even though the story does fall short of what fans were expecting.

Desite a lengthy list of issues that might annoy players such as the inability to rebind keys, a dearth of multiplayer maps, or potential potholes, Blackbird Interactive has successfully developed a worthy contribution to the Homeworld franchise with Deserts of Kharak.

Assassins Creed Chronicles: India hits its mark in areas where ACC: China failed to, but misses in areas where China did well. It is difficult for all the wrong reasons, but the overall presentation makes it unique and something in which fans of the franchise may want to check out.

he Green family's interactive memoir dedicated to their son's battle cancer is not just a video game—it is a work of art. The way that Numinous Games has chosen to tell the story is absolutely superb. That Dragon, Cancer is something everyone should experience for themselves.

6.7 / 10.0 - Fallout 4
Dec 27, 2015

If one approaches Fallout 4 expecting not an RPG but a "survival simulator" where the core mechanic is to salvage practically any and everything, defend one's loot with near-FPS style gunplay, and participate in pithy character interactions, then the game delivers. For those looking for a game with memorable character development and interactions, meaningful plot devices, and wondrous discoveries, then Fallout 4 disappoints in what matters.

A great entry in the ARPG genre and one of the greatest representations of the Bible in a video game to date, I recommend Five: Guardians of David both for the Christian who wants to see their faith represented in a video game, and also for the gamer looking for a great story full of action and depth.
