10 / 10.0 - Project CARS
Jun 30, 2015

Project Cars not only sets the standard for new gen racing games, it redefines them. From its authentic gameplay to the little quirks thrown in, it will keep you entertained for hours and hours on end. If you are new to the genre, it’s a great start. If you aren’t, it’s a great addition. So what are you waiting for?

Why are you reading this review instead of playing this masterpiece ? Tsk, at this rate, you'll never beat it! Witcher 3 is the kind of game that we will be speaking of fondly alongside the likes of FFVII, FFT, and Baldur's Gate 2.

9 / 10.0 - Sunset

With a compelling story and the freedom of choice, Sunset puts you into an uncomfortable and pressing world, yet you feel eager to press on. This is one game that you should be sure not to miss.

8.5 / 10.0 - Splatoon
Jun 14, 2015

It's never been so fun being a squid! Grant that squid some ink-flinging artillery with a serving of friendly competition, and you'll find something rarely discovered on the video game scene: a paradigm-altering shooter where your main goal is not to kill, but to conquer. Splatoon is standing proof Nintendo still holds a deck of aces.

7 / 10.0 - Windward
Jun 6, 2015

Windward is a fun RPG for customization, but unfortunately it becomes tedious and repetitive very quickly. However, it is more fun to play multiplayer and hopefully we will get to see some expansion and DLC very soon.

8.7 / 10.0 - Toren
May 29, 2015

Toren is a short but satisfying video game that plays like a movie. Imagine the emotion and style of Ico, mixed with the presentation and progression of Journey, and you get a good idea of what Toren feels like.

9.3 / 10.0 - Grand Theft Auto V
May 24, 2015

GTAV is a masterpiece, successfully reproducing the awe that we felt when GTAIII first hit the streets while also surpassing GTA: San Andraes in both volume quality of content. Content concerns are without number, though gamers should expect nothing less from a franchise named after a felony.

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China stands out on its own as a 2.5D action-platformer side-scroller with incredible presentation and seamless gameplay. While the story is lacking, the game plays exceptionally well.

This is an excellent fighter with a solid narrative and a lot of variety to offer. The carnage is *beyond* overwhelming though.

Kalimba is a must-play for anyone who grew up playing games like Super Mario World and Kirby. This spiritual game effectively captures the spirit of the difficult traversing of a platformer mixed with a brilliant swapping puzzle mechanic that works without fail.

6.8 / 10.0 - I Am Bread
Apr 18, 2015

I am Bread is an odd indie game that will have you manipulating your environment to light your world on fire. Well designed levels and a subtle but entertaining story round out a worthwhile physics game.

If you are looking for a new RTS game to play and have an older PC, you can't go wrong for the price. For anybody with a newer machine, there are other games out there more worthy of picking up.

The existence of Grim Fandango Remastered makes it possible to play the cult classic known as the last great adventure game on modern machines. Unfortunately, its aesthetics and gameplay remain stuck in 1998.

While Battlefield Hardline is fun and has some cool set pieces, it's not really an improvement over Battlefield 4. Weak story, poorly written characters, and scaled down multiplayer make Hardline feel generic and rushed.

DKCTF is a quality game that was released to both capitalize on the sleeper-success that was DKCR on the Wii and fill a gap in the Wii U's release schedule. While I cannot cite any glaring flaws in the game, the parts of the game that excite me most are more cosmetic than substantiative. Nevertheless, I do recommend this latest entry in the Donkey Kong franchise for fans of DK and platform games in general—just know that this isn't the next Mario Galaxy.
