NieR: Automata is one of the biggest surprises so far in 2017. Besides some excellent combat mechanics and the usual Platinum Games Style you get a deep story with some great twists and an amazing soundtrack. The game doesn't make it easy for beginners to get into the mechanics and story but we still recommend to everyone to try it out.

Despite a weak performance on the TV and some unimaginative Riddles, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild presents itself as probably the best launch title of the current console generation. The enormous open world leaves little to be desired and the main quests will surely entertain you over 10-15 hours.

Horizon: Zero Dawn combines a fresh setting with some of the best parts that were already established by some Open-World Games and on top of that, it looks amazing. Besides a weak enemy AI and some minor animation issues you get one of the best action-rpgs of the last years.

Insgesamt macht Torment: Tides of Numenera einen sehr guten Eindruck, man sollte sich vor dem Kauf aber ein bisschen darüber informieren. Der Fokus auf die massigen Dialogtexte im Spiel sagt sicher nicht jedem zu, heutige RPGs wie Mass Effect sind da doch eindeutig actionlastiger. Fans der RPGs aus den 90igern können hier bedenklos zugreifen und auch Leute, die Wert auf eine stimmungsvolle Science-Fiction/Fantasy-Welt Wert legen sollten sich den Titel mal ansehen. Torment muss sich absolut nicht hinter seinen Vorgänger verstecken, die Charaktere, die Welt und die Story sind alle überaus interessant und motivieren zum Weiterspielen.

Halo Wars 2 is a big step forward compared its predecessor. It still misses to use the full potential of the halo universe due to bad voice acting and sloppy character models but it's still the best RTS-Game so far for consoles.

Es steckt zwar sehr viel Kingdom Hearts in dieser Kollektion und gibt uns mehr Cosplay Material (Aww yiss – Unicorns and Foxes), jedoch bin ich allgemein eher enttäuscht. Ich fühle mich wie die Frau eine Mannes, der mir immer und immer wieder verspricht seine Geliebte zu verlassen und mich mit kleinen aufmerksamen Gesten hinhält; ich wurde von ihm schon so oft enttäuscht, aber ich habe Hoffnung, dass es so wird wie es einmal war. Masochismus. Kingdom Hearts ist Masochismus.

Dead Rising 4 misses much of its potential and turns out as a really generic Zombie-Slasher. Besides some funny Weapons you really just get a blank Campaign with simple Boss Fights and the Multiplayer feels like a cheap Workaround for the missing Co-Op Campaign.
